Plain cotton suspenders are available to hold up your trousers. Trousers do tend to stretch some. These are hand woven on an inkle loom of a heavy cotton yarn; they are approximately two inches wide (so they won’t cut into your shoulders.) Braces have heavy leather piece with a buttonhole attached to each end.
Measure from the back waist on the right to the front waist on the left. You can also get suspenders in a woven colored pattern in your choice of colors (no more than 4).

We now offer commercially made adjustable suspenders to hold up your trousers. These Braces have a leather piece with two buttonholes attached to each end in front and a single button hole on each end in the back.
Our White Handwoven Braces can also be made into powder horn straps. These come with a piece of leather, and leather tie on each end to attach to your powder horn. Please specify overall length needed.
Made of elk hide with approx. 6" fringe from end of barrel to about half way. Leather closes over butt of gun and ties closed with leather tie. Measure length of gun, around butt stock and around lock - a tracing on butcher paper is best. I can also add a trade wool welt if you want it extra fancy.

This is a heavy moccasin weight elk bag that is approximately 6" by 6" with a hand cast pewter button closure that attaches to your belt.
Indian game consisting of 5 hand cut antler playing pieces (2 sets of rules, traditional and modern) in a small elk hide bag.
Traditional hand made lye soap with no new modern chemicals. This is very good soap for cleaning grease and dirt from hands and even removing grease spots from your Rendezvous shirts or aprons. Bars are approximately 4 oz.

This kit is a handy thing to have in your pack for treks and to carry with you to rendezvous. Each kit consists of 4 buttons of your choice, a large trade awl, 2 steel needles, 5 yards of my linen thread on a hard leather spool and a nice sized chunk of beeswax. All items come in a hand sewn braintanned, drawstring bag large enough to hold all the items plus a littel more.

The knapsack is made of garment weight elkhide with the Adjustable carrying straps made out of moccasin weight hide as they have less of a tendency to stretch. Size is 14" x 16" with a 2" gusset. Ties are attached to the bottom for a bedroll and the flap is fastened with a tie. They come in both "smoke" and dark brown.
If you are looking for a length of heavy Elk Hide for serveral projects or just one large one, this is just the thing. I hand cut these moccasin weight straps to a length of 30 feet and they average 5/16ths in width. They come in both "smoke" and "walnut".
